When you want to do something important involving the agreement—terminate it, for example—you need to tell the IC about it. This is called giving notice. The following provision gives you several options for providing the IC with notice: by personal delivery, by mail, or by fax or telex followed by a confirming letter.
If you give notice by mail, it is not effective until three days after it’s sent. For example, if you want to end the agreement on 30 days notice and mail your notice of termination to the IC, the agreement will not end until 33 days after you mailed the notice.
