An IC should not work at your office or other premises you maintain unless the nature of the work absolutely requires it. For example, a computer consultant may have to perform work on your computers at your office. In these situations, it’s a good idea to add the following provision to the agreement making it clear that the IC is working at your premises because the work requires it.

Because of the nature of the services to be provided by Contractor, Client agrees to furnish space on its premises for Contractor while performing these services.
